I guess this is more of a science question actually. It depends of what kind of ink it is. My guess would be "no". Since the actual ingredients in most ink are pretty hard to mix and made in a factory, the ration of things have to be just right.
Go and and try though.
its called a wash you use your black ink put it in your ink cap add few drops of distilled water this is called grey-wash depending on amount of water added ,with less your color will be darker with more it will be lighter .
water is used in tattooing to thin down black ink to do grey shades, it is also used to clean the inks from the needels when changing colors
all you have to do is add a tiny bit of black ink into it.
Absolutely you can shade with black liner ink. There are multiple companies that make a shading solution which is essentially sterile water, witch hazel and isopropyl alcohol. These solutions are used to efficiently dillute the black ink into a lighter type of grey wash. this can also be achieved by a cup of water and a drop or two of isopropyl alcohol added to your ink cap holding the black ink, of course the cup of water doesnt get added to the ink cap but by regularly dipping back and forth from cup to capthe same result is achieved. Althogh its essentially the samehower un economical when most grey wash actually cost less than a bottle of black ink for the same results. I suppose it is up to the artist on which of these methods he/she actually prefers.
It is occording what color the ink is to turn water to that color. when mixing ink and water it does not seperate like oil and water. the ink mixes with the water ;D
Ink sacs can be combined with wool to make black wool. They can also be combined with 1x Bonemeal to make grey dye, and 2x Bonemeal to make light grey dye. You can also use an ink sac on a sheep to dye it black, meaning all wool shorn from it will be black.
yes it does
It scabs over. the white is probably dead skin, not the ink.
