Hamsters do not need to be bathed. They are very clean animals, plus you may endanger their health. Never wash your hamster. All hamsters do a very good job of cleaning themsleves. If it is an emergency (something stuck in the fur) you can cut it out, if the hair is long enough, or you can dab your hamster with some warm water. If your hamsters fur is matted, you can brush your hamster with a tooth brush. (They really like that!) Also, you can fill a glass tank with some chinchilla sand (found at any pet store) and let them roll around in that, which also works well and wont cause any health problems. Please make sure it is chinchilla sand because if it is not, it can cause numerous health problems.
You dont wash a hamster! They are clean.
Hamsters shouldn't be washed under water unless of an emergency. If you have a dwarf hamster, it might like a dust bath to freshen its fur. Otherwise, only wash hamster if it absolutely needs to be washed. (For Example: gum stuck in its fur)If you must wash the hamster, wash it in warm water and dry it immediately with a hand towel. It can easily die from hypothermia if it is wet.
you wash it.
yes why wouldnt you?
With chinchilla sand, but not water!
You have to wash the hamster's cage at least once a month. Every week, you must check for dirty spots where your hamster peed. If the cage begins smelling bad, you have to wash it no matter what time of the month it is.
yes water and soap don't hurt a hamster 1 time my hamster got dirty and i washed it and he lived for several more years
3 times a week
yes. But wash your hands first.
You do not want to put your hamster in water, it could drown. To give a hamster a ''bath'' you can use a barely damp wash cloth and stroke it down it's body.
You wash your hands before you eat and handle food don't you? You should wash your hands before and after you touch any living creature
hi iv never heard of a panda bear hamster. but i had a teddy bear hamster and she never bit me as long as you dont wake it up then touch it or have food smell on your hands!!! so wash your hands before and after touching any hamster! i hope i helped!
