i just got my second uti after having sex and then using a tampon. always pee right after sex and dont use tampons right after. it puts pressure on the uretha which traps the "bad" bacteria in. you do not have to go to the doctor right away. try using apple cider vinegar, 100% cranberry juice or cranberry supplements and otc azo pills. this should take care of it without the doctors visit.
Technically, you can. However, obstetricians, gynecologists, and urologists all recommend against doing this because of the risk of potentially deadly toxic-shock syndrome. Some tampons were actually too absorbent for their own good, and a large percentage of their users actually developed toxic-shock syndrome; a number of these died.
It's not the best idea... It's better to wear pads when you have a UTI. There are many reasons. Since your immune system is weakened from the UTI, you are more prone to developing toxic shock from using tampons. Also using tampons can irritate your ureter, which is most likely infected also from the UTI. It is just all around a better idea to use pads while having a UTI.
It's not good or bad to use tampons with a bladder infection.
Tampons will not make the infection worse per say but they aren't good for vaginal hygiene so allow more harmful bacteria lingering around your genitals when you switch to pads. If you use tampons with strings then having them around your vulva, thus close to your urethra, may not help either. Remember too that if using antibiotics these can often result in a yeast infection, so tampons aren't exactly the best idea if you're already at higher risk of developing a yeast infection.
Shouldn't matter. Just remember to wipe from front to back, not the other way round. Don't get feces smear up front.
Not a good idea. The tampon can help bacteria grow and with an infection all ready present it could get worse.
As long as it's comfortable, there's no harm in wearing a tampon while swimming with a UTI. If it's uncomfortable, change your plans.
No, you cannot get a urinary tract infection from your spouse cheating on you. UTI's are generally caused by bacteria from the bowel and are not transmitted sexually.
NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. Tampons can, and often do, contribute to urinary tract infections. The cord which facilitates expellation of the tampon can harbor bacteria, especially e.coli, and this can easily get into the urinary tract and develop into infection. If you need good menstrual control, there is something you can buy called "Instead". Target stores used to carry them, and some may still. They are a terrific alternative to tampons, as they are similar to diaphrams except they are made of silicone, which tends to inhibit bacteria. They DO take some getting used to, since they "catch" the blood and need to be removed and cleaned periodically, but for someone who is prone to infection or has concerns such as a stint, they are a much better alternative to menstrual pads.
No! It can give the girl a urinary tract or yeast infection! At 12, you're still young and are going through puberty!
It is less likely but absolutely possible, and the same bacteria that infect the urinary tract, or yeast, can also infect the anal region. Two men should always wear condoms when having sex, and if you know that you have something, you should avoid sex until you are cured.
I wouldn't recommend a tampon because of the risk of infection. However, using a menstrual cup should be fine!
You could have a bladder infection or UTI (same thing.) UTI stands for Urinary Tract Infection. If you suspect that it's a bladder infection, drink plenty of water or cranberry juice is recommended, and wear cotton underwear (females). You can go to the doctor where they will test your urine for bacteria and give you antibiotics if it is confirmed that you have a bladder infection.
same as normal, just dont wear a tampon. if you do, wake up every 2 hours to change it. Or you will get a serious infection.
Yes, you can wear a tampon after urinating. Everyone urinates at some point, and urine comes out of your urethra not your vagina, so I'm not sure why you would think that you'd not be abel to wear a tampon after urinating.
You need to weAR A tampon. Or if your not sure if a tampon will protect you fully, wear a panty liner.

A tampon
You cannot do this, it would be embarrassing for you, so wear a tampon, or stay out of the pool.
