∙ 15y agoThe Army is very strict about the wear of contact lenses. You can wear them in garrison (when at work in the office in the states), but wear is against Army policy in field and deployment environments. The main reason for this is that contact lenses can hold chemicals against the eyes, which would really hurt in a chemical attack!
