It is not etiquette to wear off white to a wedding as the bride is suppose to be the center of attention. A light tan or light peach colored dress is appropriate. Even though off-white is not as white as the bride's wedding dress it's poor etiquette.

In the 21 century it seems all the traditional wedding rules are different. My fiancee is not wearing a traditional white dress and I am ok with that. The wedding is about the bride and groom being happy. Parents and family need to let their children make their own choices. I think you should wear what you like and be happy on that special day.
