Just today I had to take Valium to get through my work as I was having an anxiety attack This included heart pulpertations, dizziness, problems breathing and unable to concentrate or think straight. I first took a quarter of a 5mg tablet to c how I went. I still had the same symptoms about half an hour later so i took the next quarter. So in total I took half a 5mg tablet. This got me through the day without my customers, colleagues or my bosses having any idea I suffer from a mentall illness. I believe u do what Eva it takes to get u through. Hope this helps.
No if you are experiencing tremors after taking Valium you need to discuss this with your MD.
Yes - as it does not compete with the same receptors that suboxone does.
no
Personally, not taking Valium works a treat when trying to get rid of the sleep effect of Valium. I doubt you this method will not fail you good knight.Sionith of Wales
Grapefruit does interact with Valium. You should use caution when using these together. I recommend not taking Valium within 6-8 hours of eating or drinking grapefruit. The grapefruit can interfere with the way your body metabolizes and uses Valium.
Yes diazepam is generic for valium.
i took a valium in the afternoon and at 5pm i started taken cough medicine. should i not have had cough medicine to nite
Basically, yes. Some people take Xanax but that depresses me whereas the Valium doesn't. It does make me sleepy, though, so don't take it at work or if you have to drive after taking it.
I'm assuming you mean naproxen (Aleve)? The answer is it depends. If you are taking Valium as an anticonvulsent for seizures you need to talk to your pharmacist or doctor. Otherwise there is no interaction I would be concerned about. An important thing to mention is do not drink alcohol while taking Valium and always take naproxen with food. S - RPh
I took Valium whilst taking subutex, to help with sleep and anxiety while withdrawling. Worked wonders. Be careful not to end up with another addiction though.
You can eat prior to taking valium and be safe... but what I think you really mean is will the high be less intense if you eat before taking it. That is a logical yes, any drug will be less effective if you eat before taking it as it gets mixed in along with the food taking longer to digest and longer to absorb; lessening the dose at any given time. Eating after taking valium and getting the effect will not lessen its effect though, so if you want to eat, take the valium first, wait for it to kick in, and then eat.
Valium is not the innocent "mothers little helper" of the 1950's, Valium is a serious narcotic that can be addicting. Valium is the brand name for diazepam which is a benzodiazepine in the opioids category. This simply means that Valium is a powerful depressant that slows down brain activity and triggers the reward system. Valium is prescribed for anxiety and insomnia but is very easy to abuse. Many people who are sensitive to addiction find themselves taking more than the prescribed amount of valium. This can lead to physical dependence and Valium addiction.
