Ultimately it will be up to the sheriff's department. You should contact the one you are specifically interested in working for and ask for their advice.
That said: Continental Academy claims to be accredited by an organization which in order to save space I'll call by their initials, NALSAS. Both Continental Academy and NALSAS may very well be fine, upstanding, scrupulously honest organizations; I have no personal reason to believe otherwise.
However, NALSAS is NOT listed by either the US Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation as a "recognized accrediting organization."
This should be regarded as at minimum a warning sign that their "accreditation" may be worth precisely the value of the paper the certificate is printed on, and that a diploma from Continental Academy may have the same value, or possibly slightly more if it's in a nice frame.
Lincoln Academy is a scam, don't do it. I payed well over 400$ and got a fony peice of paper that is not actually accredited to get into any college. I have never done Continental Academy, so I can't give a review about that. *** Neither Lincoln Academy nor Continental Academy have valid or recognized Dept. of Education accreditation. Colleges and Employers do not accept either of these online high schools. A quick Google search indicates that both schools have very negative reports in the news and "F" rating with the better business bureau. If you are seeking an online high school that Is accredited by an agency recognized by the State and US Dept. of Education, you need to choose an online high school that is Regionally Accredited by AdvancED, NCA CASI, SACS CASI, Northwest Accrediting Commission or DETC. These are the Agencies that Colleges and Employers WILL accept. Google search "Regionally Accredited Online High School Diploma" and confirm the schools accreditation. When you earn a high school diploma from a Regionally accredited High School, you will not have any problems with acceptance with College or a new Job. Don't through your money away! Do your research, read reviews and check out schools with the Better Business Bureau.
There is some dispute over whether a diploma from this school is accepted in all places. I would urge you to check with the Florida Dept. Of Education.
A deputy sheriff notice may be left on your door to inform you of legal actions being taken, such as a court summons, eviction notice, or a notice to appear in court. It could also be left to notify you of a search warrant being executed at your residence or to request information or cooperation in an ongoing investigation.

That depends on your local jurisdiction. Initally on a GED or HS diploma was required. However, some law enforcement agencies are requiring college degrees to get a more educated applicant pool. Call the local PD or Sheriff dept. You want to apply to and ask what their requirments are.
No one answer- varies department to department. It may be a large complex agency, like the LA Sheriff's Dept, or a rural county with a Sheriff and an Undersheriff.
