Dear President Bush, No doubt you will never get to read this, but for my benefit and peace of mind, I would just like to say thank you for your service during the past eight years. We have our youngest son (38 years old) serving in the Marines, and who has been in Iraq. In a conversation with him this past weekend, he indicated he wants to go back and help finish what has been started. He is the father of three youngsters so we all worry about his safety. I am a Lt. in the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Reserve Division and have actually worked three of your events in the Kalamazoo area, and in one case got to speak to you. Well we said "hello" to each other and you asked how I was doing. Working those events was fantastic - working with the Secret Service and all. I was the ranking reserve at one of the events and was asked to set in on the SS briefing. What a great day for me. At any rate you were "my" president. Since I'm so Conservative I question how I will get through the next four years. Listening to Mr. Obama's speech yesterday I have to say you are a better man than I, 'cuz I think I would have gotten up and decked him. People are sure he is the God we have been waiting for and he walks on water. I think he's just a smooth talker who could sell ice water to Sarah Palin. Thank you again, John Pincumbe 7410 West WX ave Schoolcraft, MI 49087
