I hope with all of my heart that you aren't planning on leaving an 11 year old to watch a 9 year old. It doesn't matter how 'mature' the 11year old is, you need an older person there, incase of emergency. Good childcare is very hard to find and can be expensive, but there are many different types of programs through the government or sometimes through your employers. Or, you could check with mature family members or friends that you can trust. Please, don't leave your two youngsters on their own. This is just a disaster waitng to happen.

for the most part, the answer is yes. but of course, it depends on the teen. try leaving them to watch the others while you go on a quick errand. it will tell you how they would do without leaving them for too long.
