∙ 10y agoYes and no. Pineapple is not toxic to dogs and occasional treats of pineapple pieces (preferrably fresh, as the preserved version tends to have a lot of added sugar) shouldn't hurt the dog. However, eating large amounts of pineapple can cause gastrointestinal upset (mostly vomiting and diarrhea), and the definition of "large amounts" is based upon the size of the dog and the dog's overall novel food tolerance level.
