Check the fuel line, chances are somewhere fuel is leaking out after the fuel pump. However, If you start the car and see fuels draining off near the engine stop the vehicle immediately!!! gasoline is combustable so either geta new line and fix it or call a shop and get it towed
because of the exhaust
You have a blown head gasket. Open your radiator while the engine is running. You should find exhaust coming from it.
If a vehicle smells like gas there is typically a fuel leak somewhere. In a few instances it COULD also indicate that the engine is running "rich", meaning that the engine is receiving more fuel than it can burn.
You are probably leaking anti-freeze
When your car smells like the engine is hot, is the engine hot? If it smells hot and the engine is not hot, then you have coolant escaping onto a hot surface. You may have bad radiator hoses, a leaky radiator, a blown gasket, or some other problem. You need to find the leak.
most likely your catalytic converter
If you have a motor other than the car such as a lawn mower in the trunk it smells. Also if you just got gas it smells.
If engine has fuel pump mounted on the engine then it is leaking gas into crankcase.
The car exhaust smells like the rotten eggs as a result of the hydrogen sulphide. This usually happens, when the engine is not serviced for a long time.
more then likely you have a bad head gasket , or some other leak.
A car heater that smells like burning rubber could be an indication of a belt that is slipping. The slipping belt smell can be drawn in from the engine compartment into the passenger cabin.
Oil on engine burning as engine overheats. Sort of common sense, don't ya think?
