If the level is normal then check the fluid itself. It should be a reddish color. If the transmission oil is dark then it may need to be changed with fresh trans fluid as well as a new trans filter. If the fluid has a chocolate milk look it or consistency is thick then oil has leaked into the transmission fluid and needs to be taken to a shop for service.
