1. The small streets and irregular back alleys created a labyrinth in the ancient town. 2. In Greek mythology, a Minotaur awaits at the center of a labyrinth. 3. The girl could not find her way out of the labyrinth for she was lost. 4. Jenny and Julie tried to navigate the labyrinth of hedges in the Halloween maze.
Daedalus built the labyrinth.
Theseus had to go through a giant maze called a labyrinth. Fortunately, he had a ball of twine so that he knew how to get out of the labyrinth, since it was said that the labyrinth was impossible to get out of. So after he kiilled the minotaur, he escaped the labyrinth with the ball of twine.
The Romans did not build labyrinths. In Greek mythology, the Labyrinth at Knossos (Crete) was an elaborate structure designed and built by the legendary Daedalus for King Minos (probably as part of his palace complex). Its function was to hold the Minotaur, a mythical creature that was half man and half bull. Daedalus had made the Labyrinth so complicated that he could not escape it while he built it. He was helped by Ariadne, who giving him thread, so he could find his way out again. The only Roman reference to labyrinths was by the naturalist Pliny the Elder. In his Natural History he mentioned four ancient labyrinths: the Cretan labyrinth, an Egyptian labyrinth, a Lemnian labyrinth (in the Greek island of Lemnos) and an Italian labyrinth. The latter referred to the tomb of the Etruscan king Lars Porsena which, he said, contained an underground maze.
empousai
The Bony labyrinth or osseous labyrinth consists of three parts: the vestibule, semicircular canals, and cochlea.
a tortuous anatomical structure; especially : the inner ear or its bony or membranous part -- see BONY LABYRINTH, MEMBRANOUS LABYRINTH ; the cavity in the petrous portion of the temporal bone that contains the membranous labyrinth of the inner ear -- called also osseous labyrinth
vestibule
inner ear
A division of the bony labyrinth of the inner ear coiled into the form of a snail shell and consisting of a spiral canal in the petrous part.
is the auditory portion of the ear. It is a spiral-shaped cavity in the bony labyrinth.

The earThe labyrinth can actually be found inside your ear. There are three sections of the ear. They are the outer ear (the part we see along the sides of our head.) The middle ear and the inner ear. But in terms of function, the ear has four parts: those three and the brain. This means that hearing involves all parts of the ear as well as the auditory cortex of the brain. The external ear helps concentrate the vibrations of air on the ear drum and make it vibrate. These vibrations are transmitted by a chain of little bones in the middle ear to the inner ear. There they stimulate the fibres of the auditory nerve to transmit impulses to the brain. The internal ear, where you will find the labyrinth, is a highly complex thing. The essential component of the inner ear for hearing is the membranous labyrinth where the fibres of the auditory nerve (the nerve connecting the ear to the brain) end. The membranous labyrinth is a system of communicating sacs and ducts (tubes) filled with fluid (the endolymph). The membranous labyrinth is lodged within a cavity called the bony labyrinth. At some points the membranous labyrinth is attached to the bony labyrinth and at other points the membranous labyrinth is suspended in a fluid (the perilymph) within the bony labyrinth. To make it even more confusing, the bony labyrinth has three parts: a central cavity, semicircular canals, and the cochlea.Inner ear
The scientific name for the inner ear is labyrinth. It is divided into two main parts which are membranous labyrinth and bony labyrinth.

For the most part the Ear does not contain any fluid, the Outer and Middle Ear are air filled this is why we have the pharyngotympanic tube. The inner ear however is very complicated and difficult to explain. It has two Labyrinths, the Bony Labyrinth and, suspended within the bony labyrinth, the Memranous Labarynth. These labyrinths make up the shapes most people know as the Cochlea and the Semi-Circular Canals (both labyrinth types are present in each). The membranous labarynth contains a fluid called Endolymph and the Bony cavity contains a similar fluid called Perilymph.
If you are refering to the ear. It is the Vestibule, Cochlea, and semi circular canal.
