Turn the mouse upside down. Take out the usb thing that you plug into the computer. There will be a button towards the bottom that looks like a battery symbol on an electronic. Hold down the button. When the button is being held down, a part of the mouse on the other side will be loose. Pull it out, revealing the battery compartment. Insert one AA battery.
