you either did not gap the plugs to spec or you put this wires on wrong
check for spark at plugs sounds like a ign problem
Spark plugs need to be changed. had the same problem and it disappeared when I replaced the plugs.

There are a couple of reasons a 1991 Chevrolet Caprice may stall out. The car may need a new distributor cap or the plugs may need changed. A mechanic will be able to determine the causes of the stalling car.

Check plug wires. They are good for going bad. You might have partially pulled the end off

The fuel strainer of fuel pump in the Cherokee could be bad. It could also be an electrical problem. Run a test of computer codes to see if a problem shows up.
You can probably only get to 2 or 3 plugs from the top, but the rest you have to get from underneath the vehicle.
I don't know the answer but i have the same problem. I have cleaned all the egr system, changed the throttle body gasket, changed plugs, wires, cap and rotor button. I still havent got it fixed. There is a vacuum motor on the very back of the motor, behind the bpt valve, and I'm curious as to if it could be the problem. If anyone has the answer, PLEASE, type it. This has really got me confused to what it could be.
There are four spark plugs on each side of your 1991 Chevrolet engine. The spark plugs will be near the bottom of the engine.
