Not sure what other symptoms are present, but if this problem is accompanied by a smooth idle (normal idle) then it could be a bad speed (RPM) sensor. The RPM sensor is about $75 and is located off the camshaft on most Sebrings - your results may vary! Good luck.

Pre-filter for what? You posted this question in the Fuel Filter category. So I must assume you mean the pre-filter on the fuel pump. That is changed when the fuel pump is replaced.

no wix filter replaces the 103144 anymore wix changed the dimensions of their 51361 filter and now it does not fit...the outside diameter is too large and the gasket is also changed.....
If you mean that you changed oil , then RAN THE ENGINE with the old oil filter installed , then changed the oil filter , you just mixed the dirty oil in the old engine oil filter with the new oil that was just put in . So , not the best thing to do
