Check engine code on1997 ford f150 reads 455 replaced gas cap and vacuum lines but light still comes on after resetting is there a sensor that could be bad and where is it located or something else?

I went to an Auto Shop and was charged $85 dollars to replace the gas cap. I drove to ford and bought a new one.... NOT IT!
I went to the ford dealer and they said ...."It must be the valve in the vapor management valve" and they could replace it for $500.

No, resetting the light will not fix the cause of the problem.
Just changed oil gasket now service engine soon light is on and oil gauge stays on low why is that it didnt happen til you replaced oil pan and gasket?
