It can be any number of things. The switch could have been turned off. Less than a month ago, our "check suspension light" came on in our 2001. It had approximately 150,000 miles on it at the time. The ride became progressively worse. Now, the rear end is completely deflated. I no longer hear the compressor running. Rather than take it to the dealership, I have looked online for help. I checked the fuses and traced the air lines. My next step is to replace the compressor. It may also be the compressor relay. These are not too expensive if you check around.
There is also an alternative to having the air system on the Navigators. I happen to have a 2003 Navigator and I went with a non air CONVERSION kit. These kits are a lifesaver, especially when you are hauling little ones and want a safe, dependable ride! Strutmasters was my alternative to dealer pricing. With reasonable prices and friendly customer service I suggest this alternative for anyone with air ride!

If you fix the problem with your air suspension
If the check suspension light is staying on in a 2000 Navigator, it is probably because some part of the suspension is malfunctioning. This could be that the shocks need to be replaced or a ball joint is bad. Either way, it is a dangerous situation.
If you have figured out where it is leaking from then here is a link to check out. I haven't used these people yet, but I am planning on it if I need to replace the air shocks in the front...
