Well if you were asking for an opinion i would say thorpe park but its up to you. Chessington has more family rides and younger rides but thorpe park is more of a big thriller.

it depends on age if the children are younger than 11 i would say chessington because the rides there are more appropriate for them and they will be able to ride on all of them but thorpe park is better for older children as the rides are bigger and bertter but they have height restrictions overall, thorpe park is better :)

the main competitors of Thorpe park are chessington, London eye, madam Tussuad's, and any other attractions in London. Alton towers could be a competitor but it isn't in the London area so it depends that's all i know.
