First, are you sure the engine is a 350 c. i. d. because a the Chevy 5.0 is a 305. I had this same problem with my first '92 i bought. Now here's the hard part....... The problems in the gas tank and no its not the fuel pump. The problem is a clear plastic hose the gas tank on the fuel pump and they tend to bind and pinch, so once they crack u don't know it and gas recirculates back in to the tank. This is simple fix once u get some help with the gas tank itself.
I't doesnt have a carb. All Chevy truck engines starting in 1987 are fuel injected and aren't able to be adjusted. They are computer controlled and don't need adjustment

Could be: Low coolant in the radiator - or - thermostat stuck open - or - heater core plugged.
It could be your coil but then again I would have to see it to know.

Check all the fuses.....you blew a fuse or 2 .... Do you happen to know what fuse may be causing this because i can not find a fuse for this specific thing.
