China declared war on Germany in 1917, and China offered to send as much as 40,000 soldiers to France, but France and the Great Britain deemed this to be impractical, instead China sent labourers to man to docks and take care of construction in Europe whilst most of their labourers were on the front lines. In France alone in 1917/18 there were 54,000 -- 96,000 Chinese labourers. But manpower was not the only way in which China made a difference in WW1. When China entered the war, all German ships in Chinese ports were seized by the Chinese state, as were the assets of German banks, notably the Deutsche Asiatische Bank in Shanghai, dealing a blow to German economic capacity. Despite this, after the war China did not receive the recognition and respect it had expected, China's demands at the Paris peace conference were unfulfilled and so China did not sign the Treaty of Versailles.

China entered WWI in 1917 when declaring war on Germany. It was a part of the Allied powers. (With U.S.)

Jialiang123456789: The Chinese army started war earlier than 1917 because the Japanese army attacked China for more land I think. The Chinese army has no allies that time. The Chinese army didn't have that much artillery power. Most of the artillery were taken from the Japanese army each time they won an assault. The Chinese army's main weapons are pistols, rifles, and a large sword. For eight years, they fought the Japanese army and finally won. Then they changed their uniform colour to yellow indicating the birth of Chinese Liberation Army. In WW1, their uniform colour is blue. They hardly had any money in WW1.

China in WWIChina declared war against Germany in 1917 in an effort to gain recognition, and hopefully power from European involvement. Its goals were unsatisfied.

The Propaganda did though change when they try to relate to the Russian government through its commmunist times

It did but in a rather minor role. China sent over workers to help the Allied cause during World War 1 in return for the ousting of German occupation in territories along their coast called the Shandong Peninsula. Although the Chinese believed that this would occur at the culmination of the war, they were essentially double crossed and the land was then given to the Japanese who were deemed to have played a larger role in the Pacific.

Hope this helped.
