You have to step on the brake pedal to shift to any gear from "Park"
Before there can be an answer, need to know transmission type; 6 speed manual or 6 speed automatic? If its the manual, its the clutch takeup cable. The shifter should have a button or detent to push in order to move it into Reverse. Its most likely loose. If its the automatic, its most likely the brake sensor that must be engaged prior to shifting from Park. Driver must fully engage the foot brake prior to shifting from Park to Reverse and from Drive to Reverse. Most likely replacement of part will fix issue.
Just reverse order of removal.
If your Mercedes won't shift out of park, you might have an issue with the brake sensor or the brake itself. The brake must be fully depressed in order to shift from park to drive or reverse.
In order to change the brake pads, you must first remove the wheel. Remove the retaining clips and the brake pads will come off. Reverse the process to install the new pads.
Remove wheel, brake caliper, brake disc, parking brake shoes etc. Drive out broken stud, replace with new stud. Replace above in reverse order.
push on the rear brake light then lift up and pull away. disconect the harness and ur done. install new one in reverse order
You have to remove the Master Cylinder, disconnect the rod that is connected to the brake pedal and remove the bolts holding the Power Booster on. Connect in reverse order.
The shifter. D is for drive which is forward and R is for reverse. N is for neutral. You have to have the breaks pressed down all the way in order to move out of park and into D or R.
Remove the wheel, the brake drum, the brake hold down hardware and the brake linings. Disconnect the brake line, remove the two bolts holding the brake cylinder, remove brake cylinder. Reverse order to install. Adjust and bleed brake system after brake cylinder and brake components have been assembled. Keep the brake fluid reservoir full during the process, this will make the bleeding process go easier.
It varies from one vehicle to the next but if you disconnect both ends and pull the old cable out, just install the new one in reverse order.
Lift the wheel in Question. Remove the tire. Remove the disc brake assembly. pull the rotor off. replace in reverse order.
