Most are located between the outside of the grill and the radator where the wiring harness travels through the small channel from the left to the right of the car. You will have to remove the black cover that is directly in front of you as you open the hood. when you remove the cover and look down you will see on the back of this channel a round tapered sensor that's vertical on the channel. Do not twist the thing out as you will break the wires from the twisting. Although it has threads on it its not screwed in as it appears. with wires still attached grab it firmly from the bottom and pull at a 3 to 5 degree angle and it will come out. Changing this sensor will allow the automatic climate control to work properly if its defective. For example if it is bad it may read 127 degrees as the outside temp or -40 degrees. The outside temp plays a big roll in how the temp in the car will be handled. for instance at the 127 degree temp the air will not be heated as it comes into the car as it is believed to be 127 degrees and thus the car will stay cold and at the -40 the air will be heated. By disconnecting the sensor you will get the -40 degree reading. The part is available at the dealer for $80.00 or at autozone for $15.00 doth are made by Duralast I believe. Hope this will save you from the $2000.00 they wanted from me to replace the entire thing.
It is possible that the outside temperature sensor is defective. As a result the heat only works at certain electronic temperature control settings.
The temperature sensor is on the right hand side of you digital A/C controler it is the little round vent holes on the side of the a/c controls
Auto Climate control? If so it is a self-diagnosisng component- you will have to get codes and sequence from library or dealer--normally a blend door problem If not auto climate--check temperature control cable to see if bound or broken
In the center of the dash. It's the unit you select options on. It controls the AC and Heat.
Yes - IF and ONLY if both Cars have Automatic Climate Control. The computer settings are different (Or are 'supposed' to be) - You can always try - if it works great, if not, at least you know.
Fuse is blown.
You most likely require an A/C system recharge. There should be a temp sensor under the hood near the passenger firewall connected between heater hoses to control the ac and heater temperature. Replace that first.
PossibleThe thermostat is located on the top of the engine - just follow the top radiator hose to the top of the engine. When you remove that hose you'll the thermostat. Do you have the Automatic Climate Control?
Trouble code P0125 means:Insufficent coolant temperature for closed loop fuel control
