When you close the fridge door, a mechanism called a door switch is activated, which is designed to turn off the light to save energy and prevent the temperature inside the fridge from rising. This helps to maintain the cool environment needed to keep the food fresh.
Could be the interior light switch on the dash is turned on or the door light switch is broken.
Turn on the light and walk out the door.
You mean the courtesy lights? If so, sounds like a bad door switch somewhere.
I had this happen before and I fixed it myself. Get in your Pathfinder and CLOSE the door. Turn the key on one click to accessory mode so that all of the other lights on the dash are on but do not start the car. Now open your door and push the the button inside your door jamb that turns your interior light on 7 times. Close your door and then turn your key off. Now start the Pathfinder...it should be off. If not, repeat this series a couple of times and it will go off. I have had theis happen twice and this is the correct way to fix the problem.
Get in the car. Close the door. Turn the key to the on position but do not start the car. Open the door. Press the door ajar button 7 times. All this has to be done before the airbag light stops going through its normal startup blinking. If this only slows the blinking down do it one more time and it should stop completly.
