The clutch will have to be replaced. The pressure plate could possibly be resurfaced but usually it is as cost effective to replace the pressure plate.
Try to be a little more specific when you describe how the clutch gets "stuck". Do you mean that it won't dis-engage, or do you mean that it won't engage? If it won't disengage, it could be a problem with the hydraulics, in which case you'll probably need to track down whether there is a leak in the master cylinder or slave cylinder, whether the fluid is low or if there is a mechanical problem with the hydraulic clutch system. A clutch that won't disengage can also be caused by a damaged clutch disk, throwout bearing or pressure plate. If it won't ENGAGE, it is probably a problem with the physical clutch disk and/or pressure plate.
Maybe the clutch is frozen. Has it sat up for a while?? If so, the clutch assembley could be full of rust and has frozen the clutch fingers to the pressure plate. You may have also dropped a gear or synchronize and it's stuck in some of the teeth on the third gear ring.
If a 1989 Nissan Sentra clutch pedal quit working and the car is now stuck in reverse, it will need to be towed to a repair shop to fix the clutch. The transmission may also be damaged due to it being stuck in reverse.
If you install the throwout bearing incorrectly it can hold the pressure plate open and there will be no mechanical linkage between the transmission and the engine. Before you take it apart to check try adjusting the clutch linkage.
Try replacing the master cylinder and slave cylinder cost under hundred, it's helped me before when my clutch stuck....However if that doesn't work then it may be the pressure plate which requires dropping the transmission... I have the same issue and am doing the process of elimination, just finished replacing the slave (cost me like $13), now I'm replacing the master cylinder (cost me like $41) but striped the bolt on the pipeline connected to cylinder....FML
clutch plate has stuck (rusted) to the flywheel
Well, we need lots more information here. Is the clutch pedal actually "stuck" to the floor? In other words, can you NOT lift the pedal up to the normal position? OR, has the clutch pedal "fallen" to the floor due to no resistance from the clutch?
One needs a clutch kit once he or she notices that the clutch is slipping. It is better to change it than be stuck in the middle of the road with a faulty clutch.
Sounds like a broken clutch spring.
AC Compressor clutch relay may be stuck. Remove the relay and see if the clutch releases.
Your clutch cable snapped. It should be an easy fix.
its a clutch stuck to a switch and it can carry magnetic stuff near 1 meter away
