Coby 937 DVD home theater system and the DVD input is having problems it isn't reading discs well is there a way i can receive 5.1 audio from the aux inputs with any cables or connections?

Reading discs is a problem with the DVD player, not the inputs. You can use an external DVD player and play the audio through the system, but it will only be in stereo. The Coby 937 only uses the surround decoder with its own DVD player.
