It could be anywhere between $1000 and $42,000! Originality and condition is key. Verify that all numbers on Barrel (under ejector rod), frame, trigger guard, cylinder, and backstrap. Loading gate should match number under trigger guard. Compare yours to similar guns for sale on the internet.
Mine is a 1877 with all matching numbers except the backstrap. The grips are not original and the barrel was cut down. The overall condition is fair. I just bought it a week ago in Tombstone, AZ. Asking price was $1600 and I got it for $1300.
I bought another Colt SAA over the weekend. It is a 1978 Tombstone Centennial Edition, Nickle, boxed, lots of engraving in mint condition. 1 of 300. Asking price was $1800. Not that this is related to your gun, I'm just bragging.
