Computers transfer everything into a simple 2-digit code. The values are either 1 or O. This is the Base 2 number system. The Base 2 Numbers is easy for computers to handle because electricity can be On or Off. The electrical current flips a magnet-type device in its memory so that it is either in a 0 state or a 1 state. This is how the memory stores anything no matter how complext the data is. Any number in the Base 10 which we use(hey we have 10 fingers) can be converted into the Base 2 numbers. The computer does this and then operates by adding or multiplying in the Base 2 and then it converts it back to Base 10 for you to understand.
