On computers you can play games, watch movies, store, analyse and modify large amounts of information and make incredibly quick mathematical calculations. Computers are interactive, unlike books. Through the internet one can get information from wikianswers or other site. It is even possible to read books on a computer.
However, computer information is ephemeral. Not only are answers on wikis like this one subject to change at any time (which is why they cannot be used as academic references), but they also become quickly obsolete. Many links are referred to in websites that become broken within a few years. Information stored in 1985 on a 5.5" floppy diskette is completely lost 25 years later. Books on the other hand last for a long time. You can read today original copies of Shakespeare's First Folio which was published in 1623. Books are also easier on the eyes.

Why should you prefer books instead of computers?
I think that with books, you have to use your brain more in order to find what you are looking for or use your imagination. It's like reading a book then watching the movie. The book seems to be always better.
