Leather Industry is one of the most polluting industries. They cause extensive damage to the environment by means of toxic exhausts both into the air and water. Chemicals in the Leather factory drainage can destroy all forms of flora and fauna in the water body they are released into. They can cause dangerous diseases to humans who live on the banks of such water bodies.
Hence, they should ensure all possible precautions to ensure that the environmental damage because of them is minimal. They must plant more trees, conduct health check ups to neighboring communities to ensure that they are healthy and arent affected because of these leather tanneries.
