Horse water troughs should be made of galvanized metal or heavy sunlight resistant plastic rated for outdoor use. Place the water troughs about chest height for the horse and locate them close to the water source and where you can drain them away from the paddock for cleaning. We place our 100 gallon tanks on concrete blocks (CMU) with marine grade plywood to add support and level the trough. Use enough blocks to support the weight.
Pinto horses are the same as any other horse. They should have a stall in a stable and it shouldn't let the cold wind breeze through it. It should also have a pasture for outdoor use and grass for browsing. A food trough and a water trough are needed and some people put salt blocks in as well.
yes. all horses like water.
No! Horses should never drink dirty water. They should have access to clean water at all times.
Tipping over water and feed buckets are things that horses just do sometimes and it's up to us, the owners, to figure out how best to stop it. Horses drink A LOT of water, especially in the summertime. Without enough water, not only can the horse suffer from dehydration, impaction colic can occur, which is dangerous. So, do everything you can to make sure that your horse has plenty of clean water everyday. As for water in the stall, you can buy little metal hangers at Tractor Supply or other farm/equine supply store for about a dollar apiece. They are a simple design that have a hook to hang the water bucket and a rounded metal piece that loops over and protects the hook so the horse can't snag their lips or nose on it and cut themselves. A very simple and effective investment. For outside, use a water trough, not a bucket. You can get a 40 gallon water trough for about $30 or so. It's heavy enough that they can't tip it over. You can also use your imagination and get creative in order to save money. For instance, a 50 gallon barrel cut in half can serve as a water trough, just make sure that it's clean, not rusty and has no chemicals in it.

trough
Well we always bring our horses to the water trough and pick the water up to the horses mouth, and most of the time after that they all just come and drink from the trough. Hope that helps =)
trough
A bucket, a trough, a big water tub, a creek..... Mine can drink out of a bottle.
A trough is something that contains food or water. A small animal might be fed from a bowl; a large animal needs a bigger food container. That's a trough. A visual: you know how in movies set in the American West, after a fight, somebody ends up in the water container the horses were drinking out of? That's a water trough.
A horse trough is usually a box or cage to put hay or grain in. Sometimes it is a tub of water in the pasture.
It could be anything...From misquitoe larvae to water beetles. I would suggest cleaning the water trough minimum once a week to prevent diseases from being spread. Other considerations are putting a few gold fish in the tough so they can eat the bugs.
The height of the wave measured from the place of zero disturbance - in other words, half the vertical distance between crest and trough.
There was a deep trough where the lake water emptied into the river.Scientists have been looking for rare fish in the deep underwater trough.

From the floor to the top of the tank
Depends on the width and depth of the trough.
