YEahhh!
Depends on the illness and the affect on the health and safety of the child.
weel her mom sounds like a catholic to me. well there is nothing you can do. but your girlfriend could get a restraining order. your girlfriend needs to make shore she is doing everything that she needs to be as a parent and if she's not dss will find out. ok and the her mom could try to get grandparents rights as well. you need to be aware of that also. her mother can't prove she is unfit if there is no evidence of her being an unfit parent.
You do not take custody of a child from a mother who you think is an unfit parent. You petition a court to make a determination that the parent is unfit and grant custody or a guardianship to you. See related link regarding the factors a court considers in determining a parent to be unfit.
Prove the household unfit.
I would think not. Obviously if this said parent had limited visitation then they have been deemed an unfit parent and therefore have no right to decide how the child should or shouldn't be raised.
it doesn't make you an unfit parent. Every one loses their temper. Just do not let it escalate to the point of hitting... and grabbing by the collar is a little bit extreme. You might want to calm down a bit before punishing.
Sometimes it does make it worse, but it depends on the person, and what about depression you are talking about. If you are talking about things to make it better, to just to vent, it could be a good thing. But if you are talking about suicide and sadder things, it could make the person experiencing depression, to go to the lowest level of depression a person could go into, and that would make it very worse.
As long as he has been established as the father and has not been deemed an unfit parent, the court will grant visitation rights.
You cannot make?a court do anything, they are not subject to your authority, however, if you believe that the custodial parent is unfit due to alcoholism or drug abuse, your lawyer can file a lawsuit requesting that a urine test be ordered by the court.
It's up to a court to make that determination. Stop down to the County Courthouse and talk with the folks down there.
The great depression was a time where many people could not make much money, and it was hard to make money.
