Could Matthew chapter 24 verse 13 be referring to the current generation?

Yes, it is for everyone called (see John 6:44, 65) from that moment to the 2nd Coming of Christ. Matthew 24; Mark 13; and Luke 21 each tells of the increasing wickedness of mankind and the spreading of the Gospel of Christ and not about Christ. This is the core message Jesus brought - The Kingdom of God coming to Earth.

These 3 chapters are biblical prophecy and as such commonly contain a biblical principal of 'duality' meaning it is for the near future as well as another more distant future time. In the above case, it is for all mankind in each of their lifetimes:

The accounts in Matthew, Mark and Luke as referenced above relate to the various text in Revelation chapter 6, 11, and 20 in particular. These gospel writings define the four horsemen per the seals, Matthew 13 happening at Revelation 11:15 seventh Trumpet leading to the Millennial Rule and the final judgments and the salvation of mankind.
