I have a small cyst on the right side of my head just 2 inches above my ear. It's been there for a few years now. It is always tender and when I get headaches it's always on the right side around the cyst.
Almost like tension headaches, never on the left. I think this is due to the cyst. The doctor told me i have nothing to worry about, i'm wondering does anyone else have this?
Should i be worried or get a second opinion?

∙ 15y agoIf that cyst is putting pressure on the trigeminal or occipital nerve, it may be triggering migraines or neuralgia.
If the cyst is large enough that you are holding your head and neck in poor posture, this may also be a migraine trigger by putting pressure on those nerves.
There are many, many different causes of migraine, and most people will have more than one trigger. Keeping a detailed migraine diary can be an important first step in figuring out what exactly might be causing your migraines. Make sure and include information about weather patterns, food, and stress levels.
