Not likely, however they can get sick from it just as we would. In addition, chicken bones can cause some serious issues for cats and dogs. If you see your dog acting different then his/her normal behavior, I would contact a vet.

∙ 12y agoDogs are meat-luvas, im sure it won't hurt a dog if he swallows a bit(they have strong immune systems) but very unhealthy if fed a big piece or every day. Don't feed any chicken bones, raw or cooked, to a dog: the bones can splinter easily and injure the dog.
You could feed a dog raw meats. I wouldn't recommend on a strict raw meat diet though. Dogs have stronger immune systems that can handle the harmful bacteria that us humans cannot. Usually the store bought chicken is good enough. Giving it to them as a treat or once or twice in not huge amounts is fine.
Another answer:
If you raise chickens, do not feed your dog raw chicken. You do not want him to discover what raw chicken meat tastes like. You do not want a dog to kill your chickens. The quickest way to turn a dog into one that kills chickens is to feed a dog raw chicken.

∙ 13y agoIf you feed your dog (Or any animal) to rich a food, it will be unhealthy and catch fatal diseases. A treat or two every now or then is fine, BUT NOT TOO OFTEN! my cat died because it caught a disease that was rare and the vets didn't know what to do. Partly that was because it had had too much rich 'Human' food. :( so, try to feed your pet on trusted animal food brands, like Iams or Pedigree. But avoid brands with lots of colouring in them.
The colour in this brand's product is VERY bad for your pets: Sorry B***** ;)!!!

If you want to change your dog from one food to another, mix the together slowly changing the amounts until he or she is completely on to the other food brand, or this could cause severe stomach trouble. And you DO NOT want to be picking that up. Ugh.
