No!!! At 16, he isn't finished growing, the training and race of 150km could cause him permanent damage. He should wait for at least 2 to 3 years before moving up in distance to even 42km. Most marathons will not allow under-18 year-olds to run at all, and every ultra race I know is the same - in fact most of them recommend over-21, with at least a few marathons and shorter ultra races before attempting anything over 100km (24h or longer).
