Guinea pigs sometimes get small bits of hay in their eyes and this is not harmful unless the hay is stuck in the corner of the eye. Larger pieces of hay could hurt the guinea pigs eye.
She would react the same way you would if someone were to poke you in the eye. You should not poke ANY animal in the eye, unless perhaps you are being attacked by one.

As far as I know, it was just a joke on the tv show. It was to poke fun at the real product called the "Snuggie," which is a blanket with arms. :) :-) >:-)

The first one to answer IS DUMB because obviously they didnt comprehend why she is nicknamed Turtle. She is nicknamed Turtle not because she looks like one, but because in the book it's stated that when she was a baby she would poke her head in and out of her blanket like a turtle would.
