I wouldn't have been so harsh if there wasn't war. WWII allowed the fascist Reich access to most of Europe and hence most of Europe's Jews, Handicapped, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Homosexuals. As Nazi Germany gained power in Europe they lashed out at Asia specifically Russia, and Hitler's archenemy, Stalin. This strategic mistake caused the Liberace of Europe from The Third Reich and hence the cease of all camp activity in Europe.
It would not have started without the war.
