Could you be pregnant if you are having cramping around the time your supposed to start your period but you are NOT bleeding and now a day late?

I think you could be pregnant, maybe you have not waited long enough for the HCG hormone to show up in your urine. If you really think you are pregnant then you should try to get a blood test, they are much more accurate. Or you could try bying an early response pregnancy test. But I would just relax and if you are hoping to be pregnant, I hope that you are.

∙ 17y agoPregnancy signs and period signs can be very similar in different people. You can cramp when you are pregnant just like you do the day before your period starts. The biggest difference is a missed period. The only way to know what is going on is to see your doctor. If the cramping is severe or gets worse you should go to your doctor right away.

∙ 17y agoYes, I have just discovered that i am 5 weeks pregnant. I had period like cramping for a week before i found out i was pregnant. I kept rushing to the toilet thinking my period had started when actually it was my body making room for the baby.For me, the cramps are exactly like period cramps. You can have cramps as an early sign of pregnancy because your body is making room for the baby. Do a pregnany test, it sounds like you could be pregnant....

∙ 15y agoIt's possible, but I have experienced cramps for three days before my period sometimes. They say that when the fetus is attaching itself to the uterine wall there can be cramping that is sometimes mistaken for a period. Being just 1 day late I wouldn't panic yet. If you haven't had your period in a week get checked.

If you've only experienced light spotting that maybe pinkish/brownish with maybe a tinges of blood then you are probably pregnant. This is known as implantation bleeding and mild cramps may be experienced with this. There should be no "flow". ONLY spotting; however, there are many cases where women have seemingly normal "menstruation-like" bleeding and are still diagnosed to be pregnant. Implantation bleeding usually lasts from as least as a few hours to up to 3 days. I am actually having the same thing right now and I am 6 weeks pregnant. Very light spotting (pink/brown) and I had mild cramping yesterday. When I was pregnant with my son I also had spotting at around 6 weeks. If it gets heavier and you have more cramping call your doctor. You aren't if you were 7 days late you would be around 5 weeks pregnant. The way an estimated due date works is you start from the first day of your last period. Unless you are 14 weeks pregnant and got your dates confused or had bleeding that you thought was a period but was something like implantation bleeding.
