The specific phrase "gift of God" appears several times in the King James/New King James translations... In the Old Testament: Ecclesiastes 3:13 and 5:19. In the New Testament: John 4:10 - Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water." Acts 8:20 - But Peter said to him, "Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!" Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
