I don't think there is a single verse in The Bible saying that Jesus is the way to heaven, to me it's an invention of religion.Biblical Answer:
There are many verses in the Bible that say Jesus is the way to heaven. John 14:6 is just one of the many. Here are some others:John 3:16 (King James Version)16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Everlasting life is what people get when they go to heaven, and to perish is another term for the other place people also call hell.
If it would help, I could quote john 14:6 in spanish, "jesu le dijo: yo soy el camino, el verdad, y la vida, nadia viene al padre, sino por mi".
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Sonwill not see life, for God's wrath remains on him.
1 John 5:12
He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
33 "But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.
8 "And I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will confess him also before the angels of God;
14 "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; 15 so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. 16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
21 "For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes. 22 "For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, 23 so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. 24 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
12 Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.
1 Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You, 2 even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life. 3 "This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
12 "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved."
1 Corinthians 3:11
11 For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1 Timothy 2:5-6
5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.
1 John 4:1-3
1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.
1 John 5:10-12
10 The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. 11 And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. - Romans 10:9
Hope these are helpful. God bless :)
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.[b]19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. - John 3:16-19
...but he who denies Me before men shall be denied before the angels of God - Luke 12:9
But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God - John 1:12
For unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins - John 8:24
I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me shall live, even if he dies and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this? -John 11:25
Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins - Acts 10:43
"Sirs what must I do to be saved?" they said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved" Acts 16:30
There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus -Romans 8:1
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins- 1 John 4:9-10
It is in 637 verses in the New American Standard Bible. 691 verses of King James Bible. It could appear more times than that because it could appear in some verses more than once.
Bible verses can be browsed by topic on Biblica, Bible Study Tools, Christ Notes, Sermon Central, Bible Info, Open Bible, GodVine, Bible Gateway, and Verse View.
Try Genesis 4.22 and see also Job 28, the first few verses.
It is in 412 verses. May be used more than 412 times, as it could be in some verses more than once.
A bible passage is usually several bible verses talking about a certain subject in the bible. An example would be John 3:1-21, but some passages are shorter. A bible verse could be John 3:16, or John 14:6. Many people memorize bible verses as they are short and remind the person of what else God has taught them about the particular subject. Bible verses can be picked out of a bible passage for memorization and recall.
Not really. It pretty much depends on what exactly you are wrare writing about. You could use the biblr verses to make a point or to use it as a example. You would include the bible verse if you are to going to write about it.
it could be a twist on the Bible verse when God responds to the question Who are you? with "I am who I am"
Tom didn't memorize any Bible verses. In his church children received "tickets" as they memorized verse and could trade them in for a prize (a Bible) when enough were learned. Tom found children who did memorize verses and get tickets would trade them away for other things. He thus had an imposing number of tickets with no memory work whatsoever
There are several passages that could easily serve as short oration pieces from the Bible. Any of the Psalms verses are well-suited for this purpose, as are bits from Job.
Actually, one could argue that the Bible contains true historical facts back by record (Besides the solely religious verses)
Epiphany means a manifestation of God, and this came in the form of our Lord Jesus Christ, so you could say that most of the verses in the New Testament, and many in the Old Testament explain this
I believe they do. There are several references to it in the Bible. God could not have created such wonderful animals not to let them in Heaven. Also, would it really be paradise without your pet?
Technically, yes. I found a website with a search engine for the different verses, so you could read them all.
The Bible does not directly say that angels have the will to choose for themselves, but without free will, how could Lucifer and a third of the angels rebel against God and heaven
No, sojourner could not read nor write But she did however have someone write her book "The Narrative of Sojourner Truth" She was also read the bible and she memorized certain verses so she could preach out
It doesn't appear in the Bible, but vaguely similar phrases appear in the Apocryphal books and the Koran. It could even be part of a poem.
No where in the Bible does it explicitly say that animals don't go to heaven. This is simply one side of the debate. Many people think animals don't go to heaven because they believe animals don't have souls like humans and therefore, they die when their body dies. But again, there is no scripture to fully back this argument up. When arguing this point, people often use verses from the passage in Genesis about Creation that prove man's superiority over the animals of the earth and conclude that since we are superior, animals must not have souls and therefore don't go to heaven. While this could be true, it is more of an assumption than an infallible argument.
The Bible says that Jesus ascended into heaven and _will_ return, not that he has returned. Others in the Bible who were taken directly into heaven: Elijah (in a chariot of fire), and apparently Enoch (God took him, seemingly without him dying first). Also, Mohammad is said to have ascended into heaven. There is a lot more to read on the topic. Of course, if you meant "heaven" in a less traditional way, then every astronaut who survived a trip into orbit and back could be said to have "ascended to heaven and then returned to earth."
genesis 1:1 doesn't specifically use the world bacteria but it works!
The same way we use it in our language and writing. There could be this but only IF that happens. A Bible concordance is a great book that allows you to look up all verses that contain a certain word. So if you get one you can look up "it".
Because he knew the catholic church were wrong and people were 'buying' themselves into heaven so he translated the bible and wrote the 95 theses from the bible so people could see for themselves they were doing a wrong thing.
no not really well if you think about it the bible says we could never see him or we could just think when jesus raised up to heaven again when he left earth he dint go just six feet up so i say no
because when he was little he watch a monk writing out the bible and him saying it would take 30 years to complete! Gutenberg betted he could do it faster
One could find a collection of Christmas verses at their local church. There should also be books containing Christmas verses available at your local library.
