Practically all countries in Asia have some residents that study Christianity. However, the majority of Asians study either Islam, Buddhism, or Hinduism. Christianity is the most common faith in Armenia, East Timor, the Philippines, Georgia, and Cyprus, each of which have over 75% of the population studying Christianity. All other Asian countries have most of their populations not studying Christianity.
Mostly European countries and countries with a history of colonization by Europeans. Christianity has spread all over the world, and includes people of most ethnic groups. That does not mean that most ethnic groups study Christianity.
Christianity has never flourished in the entire Asian continent to this day, there's still a lot of countries that persecute Christians and more than half of them are in Asia. Unless that is changed, it wont be popular in Asia at all.

The Philippines was the only colony Spain had in Asia. Spain was hoping to use the Philippines to get in on the spice trade business. It was also part of Spain's policy to convert Filipinos to Christianity and then to spread Christianity to other countries in Asia such as Japan and China.
