According to the state of Michigan, in a pdf archived at
http://www.michigan.gov/documents/1987combtr_20325_7.pdf
The curb weight of a 1987 Toyota pickup varies between 2,442 lbs (for the base model standard bed 2wd with the 4-speed manual) to 3,228 lbs (for the SR5 "half ton" 4x4 with the automatic transmission).
I'm just about to buy a standard 4x2 with the five speed, which supposedly weighs in at 2,497 lbs. This puts it in the lowest license plate rate bracket in my state, but only by 2 lbs! I wonder if they will believe me (or the good people of Michigan)...

Around 3600-should be on registration.
