CW in reference to radar usually means Continuous Wave. (CW Radar = Continuous Wave Radar) I don't think that it is usually referred to in a case sensitive way. You will need to explain the context better.
Continuous Wave Radar references a radar system in which the transmitter is never turned off. The target illuminating, radio frequency emitter power is non-stop and unbroken. Isolation between the transmitter and receiver has to be specially considered during design.
In terms of lasers, CW means Continuous Wave. 🔹 What Is a Continuous Wave (CW) Laser? A CW laser emits a constant, steady beam of light as long as it is powered on. Unlike pulsed lasers, it does not turn on and off rapidly—it produces uninterrupted output. 🔬 CW vs Pulsed Lasers ✅ CW Laser Emits continuous light Constant output power Used when steady read more ln.run/0Jtt1

There were 240 old pennies in a British pound, whereas there are 100 new pence in a pound. Old pennies were much larger than new ones, more the size of a 50p. cw: Penny vs cent: A cent is 1/100 of the larger denomination.

Radar was used to warn of approaching enemy planes.
The waves used in microwave ovens have shorter wavelengths (around 12 cm) compared to the waves used in radar systems, which have longer wavelengths (ranging from a few millimeters to several meters). Both microwaves and radar waves are part of the electromagnetic spectrum, but they are utilized in different applications due to their distinct properties.

It doubles. cw: IT Depends! Example: If you have a first mass moving frictionlessly and you double the first mass by adding a second mass that isn't moving, then the new momentum will stay the same (!) and the kinetic energy is reduced by half. (m1+m2)(v/2) = 2m1(v/2)=m1(v) --> same momentum vs (1/2)m1(V*V) vs. (1/2) (2m1) (v/2)(v/2) = (1/2) m1 (v)(v/2) --> half the kinetic energy, (v/;2)
