In most States, yes, Medicaid pays for Durable Medical Equipment without cost to you. However, to get this benefit, your doctor will likely need to write a prescription (a physician's "order") and provide a reason. The consumer (you) then takes the prescription to any Durable Medical Equipment supplier in your area. They will take the script and submit it with paperwork to the State's Medicaid office along with your Medicaid Billing Number. You can typically transport it yourself if you want, or have it delivered.

NOTE: If your State went to Managed Care for Medicaid, there may be new rules now. Just ask them.
