All warranties are defined in your owner's and warranty manuals. Many cars do have what some refer to as hidden or secret warranties, which are not. What you may be referring to is a TSB, an acronym for Technical Service Bulletin. TSB's are issued for problems that are fixable either with an adjustment, an updated part, or a better repair process. Some famous TSB's include the updated lower intake manifold gasket for GM 3800 engines, the sludging problems in Chrysler 2.7 engines, and the fuel tank safety partition in Crown Victorias.

You asked this question in the Ford Freestar section so I assume you have a Freestar. But since I don't know what year, I can't pinpoint any TSB's specific to your vehicle. You can look up Ford TSB's here at my favorite Ford Truck forum:

Ford Shelby Buyers Be Ware! The warranty from Ford is voided due to the application of the Ford Racing performance packages. If you do purchase such a vehicle, make sure the dealer gives you a copy of the limited warranty statement. Per Ford:
