Dangers in entering a chemical tank for maintenance operation?
September 07, 2007 2:31PM
The biggest hazard is inadequate oxygen to support life in a confined space. Suffocation due to insufficient oxygen is a frequent cause of industrial fatalities. A secondary hazard is the danger from the chemical which was stored in the tank which can be ingested or absorbed into the body and cause harm.
