darker lens' are mostly for look and will block out more visible light but not the harmful UV rays. if u want glasses that will offer good protection check to see if they are polarized this is the best possible eye protection.
answer 2 In rare circumstances, the intensity of the UV light may be instantly damaging. For example the light from an arc welder. In this case, very dark lenses are needed. For ordinary levels of UV, then a yellow or orange lens will effectively block UV rays. Have you seen the orange shades the folk on CSI use when they need to use a UV light source?

I am pretty sure that comets are lighter than moons but it depends on the comet
An object is lighter on the moon because the moon is smaller and thus lighter than the Earth
Fiberglass is lighter, AND stronger.

It does not reflect solar radiation as well as lighter skin, although perspiration would influence that. Dark skin contains melanin, a pigment that gives skin more protection from the damaging effect of ultraviolet radiation.

Tents are now lighter and have waterproof protection? :)
Cricket protection gear has been made lighter and stronger via new technology.
Not really. Being away from sources of ultraviolet light, such as the sun, for long periods will result in a lighter complexion, but computer monitors themselves have no lighter properities. You could stay inside for long periods and read and would experience the same lightening.
Polaroid lenses filter out light in a single plane - this includes light which has been reflected off glass and water (you can see this effect with a polarising filter on a camera). This means that they effectively remove the glare you would normally get from, for example, the ocean, without resorting to really dark lenses. This makes polarised sunglasses with lighter tints ideal for sports and driving, removing the glare without compromising overall visibility.Polarized lenses are made to neutralize the effect of glare. A 'glare' is caused when the sun's shining rays reflect off a solid surface or water. A 'glare' is typically horizontally polarized. And the lenses are made of vertical polarizers - so Voila! - They effectively neutralize the villainous glare! Advantages of Polarized Sunglasses: Polarized sunglasses are specially made for reducing the harmful effects of glare and eye-damaging light. And they are a perfect boon, for all your outdoor activities.
well soft cello cases are soft, so it doesn't offer as much protection. but it is a lot lighter and hard cello cases are hard, and offers a lot more protection
Blown fuse or damaged wireThe power wire that attaches to the back of the cigarette lighter is a real weak point for Toyotas. It probably melted or broke off and will require the replacement of the cigarette lighter receptacle.I had this same problem, and found that the cause was a washer in the base of the lighter socket that was not conducting (it is attached by a bolt and a screw). I expect it provides some heat protection. I removed this washer, replaced the bolt, and the socket now works. I'm going to look for a replacement washer or a replacement socket, since I've not gotten any info on what the purpose of this washer is, or what protection (if any) it provides.
5-w30 is the recomendation from GM. The LL8 inline six has very tight tolerances and requires a lighter viscocity for engine protection.
Slide the lighter body out of the lighter case, by pulling on the wick cage. With the lighter body upside down squirt lighter fluid into the fiber packing in the lighter until saturated. Reassemble the lighter body into the lighter case. Let excess lighter fluid evaporate before using the lighter.
It's not that simple, it'd depend on what risk you're looking at, and how the cars are built.A lighter car can be made to steer and brake better, which can improve safety. But a heavier car can be built stronger, which can offer more protection if another vehicle should slam into you.
