Are you sure you do not mean DCL? Data Control Link (DCL message center)
the dcl light is the Data Communications Link. if you have a Ford Taurus engine in your vehicle then you light will continually go off because the Ford Taurus does not have a dcl link. if you have the continental 3.8l engine then take the front panel off your vehicle and check the communications cable to see if it came off or something, or it may just need cleaning with a q-tip, this usually solves the issue unless there is a challenge with the dcl light. if unsure then take to dealer to see what you can do. Guy on eBay will fix 100% no problem again for $59.95. Mine has worked ever since fix. I spent hours trying every fix on the internet. This guy fixed it right. Search eBay for DCL error.

There is only one way to fix DCL errors. The instrument cluster needs to be reworked. It will fix it 100% for good. New clusters won't fix it because the problem is with all clusters in the Lincoln Continental. ALL of the instrument cluster issues will go away. It costs about $70 but it is worth it. Search Ebay for the repair. You will find it.
take it to the dealer and have them find it, there's alot of things that it could be. It is the instrument cluster. Get it fixed. Search eBay for DCL errors. Fixed for $75.
usually the DCL is beeping which means communication challenges, clean the DCL connections on the back of the panel.
behind the dashboard, kind hard to take off though, need the year of the car.

How about fixing the DCL that will make it go off or clean the connectors behind the concole, there will two off them, clean them with a qtip, see if that solves the challenge
