A random passing trader sold me mine. Stop and trade with every one you come across and you too might get lucky. However once you have one you will wonder why you bothered, it's a melee weapon, the combat shotgun is far better.
but when you acquire all 3 schematics from rivcet city, the traveling trader, and from the camper down in the far lefthand bottom corner of the map then you have a melee weapon worth keeping and if you don't like it it is worth a fair bit of scratch.
